Life Cycle - Track Your Time App Description

Life Cycle - Track your time automatically From the team that brought you Sleep Cycle, we've created another app that helps you automatically track your day. Life Cycle automatically keeps track of your time and presents your life sorted into slices. It shows you your daily activities, places you go, and who you spend time with. Whether you’re just curious of how your time is spent or looking to make a change, Life Cycle is your daily companion, providing you with all the information and insights you need. What’s more - it uses only 1% of your phone’s battery while it seamlessly does the work. MAIN FEATURES FREE * Automatic - Life Cycle works in the background, recording and sorting what you do as you go about your daily business. * Less than 1% of your battery per day - Life Cycle uses less than 1% of your battery per day as it runs in the background. * From a day to a year - view your life day by day, week by week, month by month or even year by year. * Fully integrated with Apple Health. Imports Steps and Sleep Analysis data. * Friends - Connect with your friends on Facebook and see who you’re spending time with, what you’re doing and where. * Sleep Cycle connection - For accurate sleep data, connect with Sleep Cycle alarm clock through Apple Health. (Life Cycle only reads data from Health, it does not share any data. It reads Sleep Analysis and Steps data.) PREMIUM * Connect to your Sleep Cycle account - If you have an online backup account with Sleep Cycle, Life Cycle will let you know how your daily habits affect your sleep quality score. * Backup - Keep your data safe with our backup system. Never worry about losing your Life Cycle logs again. * Graphs - Beyond the donuts, Life Cycle also shows you in detailed graphs for deeper analysis, what you’re doing with your time. Just by looking at the visuals, you’ll gain insights on if you're doing what's really important to you. * Compare trends - see if you’re dropping in sleep hours, if you’re working too much or if you’ve taken longer walks this week. Compare trends over the weeks, months or years. BATTERY CONSUMPTION Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Life Cycle does not use the GPS in the background, but instead relies on cell tower and Wi-Fi locations. As a result, it consumes less than 1% of your battery per day, when the app runs in the background. REQUIREMENTS * Life Cycle needs to run in the background to be able to record your data. It only uses 1% of your battery per day when doing so. * You need to carry your phone with you, for Life Cycle to accurately record and interpret your activities. * Wi-Fi should be enabled on your phone for tracking to work. The optional Premium subscription costs $9.99 per year. Should you choose to subscribe to Life Cycle Premium, the purchase will be charged to your iTunes account. You can manage or cancel your auto-renewable subscription by entering the user settings in iTunes after the purchase. The subscription will be auto-renewed 24 hours before the subscription period ends, with the same kind of subscription you already bought, to the same price. It's not possible to abort the subscription during the time it's active. Terms of service: Privacy policy:

App Reviews

  • Decent app, rating nags earn instant 1-star rating

    By Qohelet
This is a good app, though there are some funky quirks in the UI. Rating nags earn it an instant 1 Star rating, I’d probably give it four otherwise.
  • Not worth it

Was trying out the app to see if I should purchase. Waited a whole week to get everything loaded into the app, can now finally see what its been tracking but it hides all in depth info unless you have the $30 a year plan. I mean come on why would I buy this app if I can’t even see what it really does in a free trial. It’s also not very accurate, there are many free apps out there to track your own time that are free. Would not recommend this one.
  • Very cool

A great way to keep track of how you spend your time. I would recommend it to anyone.
  • Not accurate tracking steps

Life cycle and the Apple heart app are vastly different in counting steps taken during the day. Needs to be better coordinated.
  • Location Service no longer work

    By jmlara06
with the latest update the app does not seem to track location anymore
  • Needs some QoL features

    By Legato895
Things work great but would love for the option to group activities while still keeping them separated. This primarily is the case when I want to track office work, work from home and work outings all in a "work group". Stuff like that would be great.
  • No visit records for a while

I restarted this app but still no visit records , any solution?
  • Great w/one suggestion

A really great tool for holding yourself accountable and tracking your activities. Would be really nice to be able to create multiple events even if the geographical location didn’t change (since I work from home).
  • So far so good

This is the type of app which makes its or breaks it depending on how well it works. So far (using in conjunction with sleep cycle) it’s been very accurate and given me great insight into how I spend my time. Please please please enable the app to add events to my calendar (setting which activities would automatically show up on a calendar would be a killer feature).
  • Very nice and helpful

It may not be a necessity for me, but I enjoy looking at my activities throughout the day. I usually appreciate the automatic register of many locations and activities if you've been there before. Tagging the location can be a bit difficult sometimes if you aren't sure what to call it and there isn't a preset name for it, but overall it's nice to be able to edit location names. The only thing that has been bugging me lately is the fact that locations can't be monitored as well or are not very accurate. My house and my friend's house are not right next to one another; it is a street or two over, but if I mark his house as it's own location, it won't register mine properly. Being able to set up specific ranges for each location may be helpful, and/or further specifying addresses if needed. Update: the location issue still persists and I can’t edit an incorrect location until I leave. An incorrect location is displayed throughout the whole day until I leave. It’s frustrating knowing that I can’t do anything while the “position is preliminary”. I do appreciate that you can delete incorrect locations in the locations tab, but I don’t appreciate that you can’t specify locations any further, as in you can’t draw a general area around the location. The incorrect location stays because I visit one place quickly, only for about 3 minutes before going to another place fairly distant from the initial location. I wish that the location would update every 15 minutes or something so the current, or more accurate location would be shown.
