I’ve contacted Uber about the fact that I’ve never gotten a promotional offer. Other drivers in my area have, including ones I’ve referred. The surge feature also seems to be just an illusion as I have put myself dead center of a surging area many times without a single request or requests for fares outside the surging area. They would be better off not showing surges if the feature isn’t real.
Uber is a scam but people still drive
Every city is different but if you’re driving for less then $1 per mile you are a sucker. Learn how to do math. 12 cents a minute is less then minimum wage was 20 years ago. Only reason why the price is so low is because so many people are willing to work for peanuts because they can’t do math. The uber gps is horrible, uber support doesn’t exist, it’s just automated messages. I can go one for days why this company is horrible, but people still drive. I guess people like to be taken advantage of, oh well, happy I quit.
Ever since new update came in. My app freezes and when I close it it goes back to the old version and doesn’t load the amount i have made during online and/or freezing again until I delete it and download it again. Only to have this same issue over and over again
They have this feature where the driver gets requests one after the other even before the last ride is complete. So, the driver keeps running for the money without bothering if they made enough is the previous ride.
Removal of features in recent updates.
I noticed that you can no longer view nor update the driver profile that the rider sees. We used see a preview of that. Also, I would get badges for exceptional service in a respective area, languages spoken, lifetime rides, and etc. — Now that is all gone.
Why was this feature removed? I’d like for you to bring it back.
Driver ratings - under my rating (4.73), there used to be an arrow to expand that area. There would a star ratings breakdown, total of rated trips, total lifetime trips, and etc. That was helpful information. — It is now gone. Why did UBER remove that feature? I’d like for you guys to bring it back.
Needs iPhone X update. Can’t access settings gear

This app needs to add iPhone X compatibility. The settings gear icon that’s on top of the right menu cannot be accessed on iPhone X. Thus, one cannot switch between UberX and Eats or whatever else is in those settings...........
It’s getting there
I’m really fed up with how every time there’s a surge, if I’m nearby, I won’t get a trip in that area at all. Defeats the purpose of surge. Navigation still needs work, lately the gps keeps jumping back to a previous instruction. Ratings are still screwy. I need specific feedback, not those general bs feedback things that riders tend to give if they don’t get their specific way. The airport lot is a joke. I hate how I don’t know my exact spot in line. I hate how even with 100% acceptance, I still have to wait forever for trips from the airport whereas before I didn’t have as long a wait. Other drivers are selfish a$$hole$ who have no regard for others safety, they’ll go the wrong way in the staging lot, they’ll drive very recklessly and yet they’re still online. And the sound is screwy with your app too. Always screws up the sound on my phone every time I get a trip notification
Look at the rating of the rider app vs the driver app. That will tell you all you need to know.
The rider’s app consistently has 5 star reviews and the driver’s app consistently has 3 stars (sometimes less). That says it all. Enough people are so desperate for income or “extra money” that they put up with being treated like they’re less than a human being. Look at all the TERRIBLE things Uber has been involved or implicated in over the past 18 months and make your decision based off that. If you are absolutely desperate and you’re going to be homeless if you don’t do this then sure, give it a go. Otherwise I’d advise McDonald’s or Panda Express if you can get by on that type of money.
Riders will sneak illegal things like red wine in your car then spill them all over the place. Uber will then send you a canned apology and proceed to mark that ticket as “resolved”. The next rider who gets in will give you a poor rating because your car has a “cleanliness” issue (After you’ve spent $150 of your own money in an attempt to have the stain removed.). Then you’ll get a nasty canned warning from Uber that if you don’t clean up your act there could be consequences. Wrong doesn’t even begin to cover things like this.
If I’m very lucky this review will get a response that includes a veiled apology dictated by the legal department. “We know driving can be challenging..... blah blah but we do the best we can and screw you, get another gig if you don’t like it”. If not they’ll just let it go and hope I quit and someone else takes my place.
I have NEVER and would never take my frustrations out on riders btw, I have a 4.96 rating over more than 2,200 rides.
If I pick you up today I’ll be happy to meet you, just know the people who pick you up are being treated much less than fairly. If it were you in my shoes you’d be outraged. But rent is due and while it looks like I’ve got a new job lined up nothing in life is certain. Good luck out there rider’s and driver’s, be nice to one another.
Glitchy, bad navigation

Shittiest navigation ever. Usually makes the route through alleyways. Estimated ETA always wrong
Glitchy, especially in the end of trip.
Same problem with sound from review(app turn volume your music down until next notification).
And it’s looks like nobody cares about all these reviews, standard answer: tell us the same thing, but on Uber website is ridiculous:)
Every time I drive to the airport to enter the queue, my app breaks. The gear icon at the top that lets me select which kinds of requests I’m accepting (uberx, UberXL, or Deliveries) gets rid of everything but deliveries and if I sign out or reinstall, the gear icon goes away completely and the other types of rides are not restored. Every time this happens I have to spend hours on support calls trying to figure it out and it’s almost always as bad as any annoying unhelpful tech support call can be.
The last time I called, they told me that perhaps it had happened because my acceptance rate was low. This is because the app goes through periods of regularly crashing or freezing when I tap the notification to accept the ride, and then it never accepts it. The solution to my low acceptance rate was to take their “7x7 course” which costs the user $49 to take. No thanks. I’m reviewing the app right now, sitting near the airport once again with a broken app, costing myself time and money.
