Would love if I could read articles saved to instapaper here as well the way Reeder does.

Unread is a great rss reader. Easy on the eyes and pulls the full text of an article. I purchased it ages ago but was a little disappointed in the developers at the time. Unread's new developer use awesome. Super fast to respond to emails. There's one feature Unread doesn't have which makes it a 4.5 start app (for me). I'd like to be able to use it independently from a 3rd party aggregator—My Feedly list is overwhelmingly large. For many users, that's not an issue. When I emailed the developer about it here responded in under a minute. I have no hesitation in recommending Unread. I paid $5 for it years ago, and it's more than paid for itself!

Update: Issue with refreshing appears to have been a problem on the Feedly end of things. Everything is back to normal and working smoothly. I’ll start by saying that this is an amazing RSS reader! It’s clean, minimal UI just gets out of the way and lets me read. However, lately I have been having a lot of trouble getting my feed to refresh. I open Unread and it says that it is refreshing my unread articles and nothing loads. It usually takes a few force closes to finally get it to load, but by that point I could have already swiped through everything on the native Feedly app.

  • Best app, but 3 showstopping issues

I love this app, it's AMAZING! But: 1) Sharing articles to Facebook Messenger only attaches the photo from the article, not the article. 2) Sharing to iMessage add a ton of text in between the Title and the Link. There shouldn't be any article text included. 3) Sharing to "Inbox by Gmail" brings up a new email, not the Inbox by Gmail share sheet that allows me to A)"Save to Inbox" or B) Send via email Please fix these and it'll be perfect!!

I’ve been using Unread for years and am so glad to see it receiving more frequent updates. It is the most elegant and refined of all the RSS apps. The photo thumbnails in the article list view is a must have feature. I would love to see in the future support for Inoreader and perhaps a San Francisco font option. I know the Whitney font is part of what makes the app distinctive but personally I find it a bit hard to read for longer articles. :)

It replaced, after several years, reeder. A refreshing look. Meaningful user interface. Adding force touch interaction would further improve this app already great usability. Recommended.

Unread is a beautifully designed RSS Reader that makes catching up on the news a pure delight. The design of the interface capped off with the high-end Whitney Typeface makes the app a true original in the App Store. Interactions within the app are also well thought out and enhance the overall experience. It would be great to see feed management and persistent Readability mode (on a per-feed basis) added to make Unread a one-stop shop for RSS. As it stands, Unread is an essential app for improving the consumption of your favorite news sources. It’s great to see that a new developer has purchased Unread! This gives great hope for continuous improvements to the app going forward. Thanks for the recent updates.

This app is beautifully designed and wonderfully engineered. The gesture-based navigation is both fun and absolutely intuitive. I can switch seamlessly between my iPhone and iPad, knowing that everything will be kept in sync (I use Feedly for sync). Keep up the great work!

Would like a way to jump right in to my feeds a launch. Needs a compact view of just titles and small preview of the articles so you can more quickly process large feeds.
