App Reviews

  • Solid app. Great dev!

    By taliwalt
New review: Still awesome. Requesting support for “This old reader” and/or FeedHQ! Old review: Unread is a great rss reader. Easy on the eyes and pulls the full text of an article. I purchased it ages ago but was a little disappointed in the developers at the time. Unread's new developer use awesome. Super fast to respond to emails. There's one feature Unread doesn't have which makes it a 4.5 start app (for me). I'd like to be able to use it independently from a 3rd party aggregator—My Feedly list is overwhelmingly large. For many users, that's not an issue. When I emailed the developer about it here responded in under a minute. I have no hesitation in recommending Unread. I paid $5 for it years ago, and it's more than paid for itself!
  • Gorgeous, Intuitive, and Fast

I’ve had the pleasure of using Unread for years now, since the Jared Sinclair days, and in my opinion it remains the best, most beautiful, most intuitive, and most reliable RSS reader on the App Store. Go premium — it’ll be money very well-spent.
  • Still my favorite

    By m.t.majeski
Still have the Feedly app on my phone but I rarely open it anymore since going to Unread. I’ll echo what others have said and wish a few more articles were viewable at a time. Also, love the black theme, just wish there was an option with blue accents instead of red.
  • Wonderful app with an excellent, responsive developer

    By mnbutera
This is a great app with outstanding support. I purchased Unread long ago and loved the interface and thoughtful design. When Golden Hill Software bought the app, I emailed the developer asking for Feedbin saved searches as a support request. He said it was on their list of things to do and the latest release (1.9.1) added saved search functionality. It's nice to have an app under active development with a developer who is interested in building a better experience. Highly recommended!
  • Best feed reader

    Love the new Feedbin integrations!
  • Almost perfect

    By GregoryXandrew
This app is incredible, I love it so much. It's 1 of the 3 things that pulled me back from Android. (Yeah, I love it that much) BUT: I use Inbox by Gmail to save articles for later reading. When I try to use this by "sharing to Inbox by Gmail" it comes up as an email to send. This is a painful extra set of steps. When sharing something from other apps I can select "send as email" OR "save to Inbox" in 1 click. I use that save to Inbox button 75-100 times a day and your app is still not bringing up that menu.
  • This app is great

I read a lot of RSS and haven’t found a reader that could replace my beloved Mr Reader until now. Having withheld any of my comments until I’ve used Unread for over a week, I’m happy to say that this app is great. Minimal with easy gestures it makes plowing through my bloated feed list from Feedly a pleasure. Social sharing and saving are simply just available as Unread uses my Feedly settings for those things. Saving posts in Unread or to other services is effortless. Highly recommended.
  • Artistry in app design

    By chmohler
Unread is truly one of the most typographically beautiful apps in the App Store. The app's developer is also very responsive in replying to queries. Highly recommended.
  • Really Great but...

    By S.till
It’s really a beautiful designed rss reader, but I wish it could display the image in a edge-to-edgy way. And could be better if can 3D Touch in the article lists.
  • Breathtaking Update

    By Tao-ish
Golden Hill Software has brought Unread back—to its rightful place—as the most elegant and best designed Rss reader on iOS. If the extensive list of items (and bug fixes) aren't enough to sing the praises of this update, then just consider this ONE KEY item! AT LONG LAST support for INOREADER accounts!!! This makes me incredibly happy; was wondering about the possibility earlier today. Thank you. Much grateful appreciation for this amazing update.
