  • Stale and Outdated App

    By Brookenc
There hasn’t been meaningful improvement in this app in at least 5 years. And now they are weeks behind on the iphone x update.
  • Buggy. Bring the old app back!

    By TR64ever
Fails to load time after time. Crashes and locks up. Ads are intrusive and advert links often don't even work. Horrific and getting worse. Pull this app, bring the old one back until this is fixed. Long live the paper. Every day I am reminded how much faster and efficient it is to scan the pages on the paper and get my news and information so much faster from the paper paper. Maybe someday the iPad will offer the same experience- but it's not going to be on the current NY Times app.
  • Fantastic

Seamlessly combining native content with web, this is a quick and efficient way to catch up. Pushing the summary content to the top is genius. Docking one star for missing iPhone X support. Otherwise, it’s perfect
  • Confusing

    By Garcell91
While the new article view looks great (after getting used to it), they way articles are being listed now is so confusing, one can have a really hard time identifying today's articles vs yesterday's, as in, why do I get about 3 artilces with headline and short description, and THEN, I get the latest?
  • No iPhone X support

    By Tmybrgr
iPhone X just came out but we pay for nytimes and there is no iPhone X support total nonsense for a paid app
  • A Step Backwards

    By McEvilly
I've been a reader of The NYTimes for 20 years--first the print edition and then the digital edition--but this latest app is awful. Compared to the previous app (which really was a fair rendering of the printed paper), this new app is far less stable (it crashes at least once or twice every time I try to open it); it's far slower (probably two to three times longer to load a simple article); and it appears to contain far fewer stories from the print issue. All this and a new format that is neither more readable nor easier to navigate. I just don't understand why. I miss the old app. This is neither progress nor improvement, and is a terrible disservice to a fine paper at a time when we need good journalism more than ever.
  • Although

I like reading your articles but I am not happy that you have to limit free reading. Nearly all other news apps are free with unlimited reading. Some of them ask for donations and I don’t mind donating but as of now I am afraid of what is going to happen with the economy because of 45. So i have decided to uninstall this app for now. So long.....

You can clear the cache now, hooray!
  • Good content, bad app

    By Jeebz88
    1. This app feels less and less like a newspaper with each iteration. It has more of a feel of scrolling down a blog with popular opinion articles highlighted. 2. Once you find the actual news articles, they’re still top notch as always. 3. It is absolutely ridiculous that this still has not been updated for the iPhone X.
  • Stop it with the video ads

    By mindlesswanderer
I love this app, and have been a big fan since NYT Now. It convinced me to pay for a subscription. But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remove the auto playing video ads. That is just obnoxious while I’m trying to read your articles. And bonus points if you make it open to the last article on a cold start - sometimes I swap apps and come back to find myself back on the homepage.
