App Reviews

  • Clear Recents

I want to be able to clear and disable recents. I don’t like clients having the ability to see other clients work accidentally as brief as it may be. I thought an update came out that allowed this but I no longer see it.
  • Photos no longer easy

Prepare for babysitting the upload of images. The app constantly “pauses” the upload of photos to the point you have to actively prompt and manage the process. It’s not nearly as “background” as it used to be, and pretty disappointing. The rest of the app works as advertised and Dropbox is a huge part of my digital ecosystem. Too bad about the photo issue.
  • DB deleted everything

DB just deleted all my files and folders and I had very important files in there so this is pretty bad. Not sure what happened or why but my acct size was also reduced from 50 GB to 2.9 GB. I tried to contact the support service but it’s hard to reach.
  • Very convenient but small bugs in current version

I really love the Dropbox app. The only issue I have currently is that the video file I’m trying to export to my photo album always crashes. It would say “saving video” for like a millisecond and then exits the app. Please fix this ASAP! Thanks. Overall, really great app.
  • Keeps crashing when exporting

This app was fine until now...can’t export a video without it crashing. 🤦🏻‍♀️
  • Good, but needs one more improvement

This app is good, all it needs is support to open a document straight to word, or PowerPoint or excel etc automatically, from files app, instead of making a copy of the document. Once that is added I’ll give it five stars. Until then it’s not useful to me.
  • This version broke the Files app usability

The app is great! HOWEVER, this was suppose to be the version to better work with iOS 11, which it doesn't. Within the Files app, user can not access files if Dropbox has a passcode enabled on it, let alone Touch ID. The previous version, would simply prompt to authenticate with Touch ID *within* the Files app, and user could access their files. Disappointing this update took that away when One Drive can do it all already without leaving Files app.
  • Latest update (9/23/17) broke uploading

I updated the app today. I’m on iOS 11. It won’t upload photos anymore. It just says “Finding Photos to Upload” and never actually begins uploading. I’ve been waiting for it to start for 2 hours now and still nothing. Please fix.
  • Great until recently

I have always relied greatly on this app and Dropbox to conduct business, but the in addresses issue of not being able to attach to emails on the iPhone is making me think I need to go to a different cloud storage.
  • Stop sending commercial 3rd party messages in the app to paid users

Dropbox should stop sending commercial messages for third party’s in the app. Yesterday I got a ‘help Hurricane Xxx people and donate’ banner in my iPad app while staring the app. I’ll decide for myself if and when I donate to whatever good cause. I don’t want to see this spam in my account where I’m paying for their services.
