  • Democracy dies in darkness

I was a reporter and I was in Washington during “Watergate” when this paper bravely reported on issues that lead to a criminal conspiracy that reached right into the Oval Office. Today I begin my day with the Post headlines in my email to see in which direction the world is going, and then Work comes to a halt when I read the paper.

Only reason I pay $10 of my hard earned money is to play crosswords. WP stopped working so I could transfer crosswords to my home computer to print them out. A waste of money.

Has all the features you would want except one: you can't print articles.
  • Don't force subscribers to view ads

I love The Washington Post, but I don't like being forced to view/navigate ads after I have subscribed. I subscribed to the Premium Digital service, which is not cheap, about $180/yr. Yet I still have to contend with large ads in the middle of my articles. I like to scroll with my thumb while I am reading, and it gets tiring to accidentally hit an intrusive ad, which launches the browser and opens up the advertiser's web site, and then I have to find my way back to the article I was trying to read. Please, developers, offer a setting for subscribers to not be bothered by ads. Then I will return my rating to 5 stars. Thank you..

A good app overall—hasn’t changed too much so everything is still where it is supposed to be—except I can’t share stories on twitter from the app anymore, have to go to a browser!!! Not as convenient and now just tweet articles from the times.
