I recoomend this app to anyone who really wants to learn a language. It’s amazing, and helps with everything!
  • A lot of bugs - stick with the desktop version of RS

It’s great conceptually, since there are no other apps like it. However, the actually implementation isn’t very user friendly. The images that we are supposed to match words to are clearly meant for a larger screen. At times, I can determine neither the activity the person is engaged in nor their sex (I have 20/20 vision). The play back button next to the word phrase is so small that I frequently end up selecting the box as the answer even though I didn’t intend to (My screen isn’t that small. I have an iPhone 7). The circular voice recognition match meter isn’t consistent with a passing score. Sometimes ~90% is failure while ~50% is a pass, even though the difficulty setting is the same in both instances. I tried out the Level I for free. After I loaded my purchase code into the app, the lessons would not play the whole audio portion for the different phrases - rendering the app unusable - until I restarted my phone. Basically, after my membership runs out I will stick with using Rosetta Stone on a desktop or laptop. This company needs to work harder to craft an enjoyable mobile experience.

I might be doing it wrong but it doesn’t say what the word means are but it’s really easy to learn still
  • Great for my kids

It is so fun to hear them going through languages I don’t know and being able to link the correct picture to the sounds. I wish it were easier to have different accounts for different people in the household all on my same device.
  • Change the title back

Since the last update the icon says “Rosetta St...e” on my home screen and it’s annoying the crap out of me. Fix it to say what it used to say, this looks messy and irritating.

    Very nice
  • Trouble w pronunciation

    By Spinner2243
I know a little Spanish and now I’m trying to learn some Portuguese. The pronunciation is quite different, and I’m having trouble hearing it.. I wish the program showed phonetic pronunciation in these early lessons. The double r and the ã sound are particularly vexing.

I have tried two other programs. This is by far the most fun and easy to use.
