KEY FEATURES ============================= Keep track of your baby’s mental development Learn all about the leaps and bounds and the fussy phases of your baby Read the bestselling Wonder Weeks book here in this app Take notes about a range of topics Think of it as a portable, at-a-glance version of the calendar leap chart in The Wonder Weeks. Where the book describes in-depth and easy-to-understand terms the incredible developmental changes your baby goes through, the app is the perfect leap calendar companion to track your baby’s mental development (during the first 20 months).
By knowing what is going on inside the head of your baby, you can help him to make the leap more easily and stimulate his development. The Wonder Weeks app helps new parents by:

 - Calendar Showing when your baby makes a leap in his mental development
 - What your baby can understand & learn after this mental leap
 - What your baby can do after this leap
 - What you can do to help your baby

This app is also a handy reminder for new parents when their baby’s brain is changing, or “leaping,” the baby is making a significant advance in mental development, and with each step forward comes a drastic change in the way your baby sees the world around him. Because these leaps come so quickly, the “new world” and new abilities can sometimes be scary, and the development can initially manifest in poor sleep, bad appetite, crying, clinging and crankiness – exhausting and frustrating mom and dad.
International experts on The Wonder Weeks:
“This is a very practical and entertaining window into the baby’s first year and a half. van de Rijt and Plooij have observed and found the vulnerable times in an infant’s development that I independently came to in my book Touchpoints (Perseus Books Group). The authors’ observations and practical suggestions are wonderful.”
-T. Berry Brazelton, M.D., professor emeritus, Harvard Medical School

"Anyone who deals with infants and young children will want to read The Wonder Weeks. This book will open parents' eyes to aspects of their children's growth, development, changing behavior, and emotional responsiveness that they might otherwise not notice or find puzzling and distressing."
-Catherine Snow, Ph.D., Shattuck Professor of Education, Harvard Graduate School of Education

App Reviews

  • App desperately needs a better writer

The writing on this app really needs to improve. It happens pretty frequently that I really don't understand what a sentence or even a paragraph is trying to convey. The value of this app is solely through its words because it is relaying information that is helpful/ useful for parents. So it is critical to get someone who can write well and convey messages succinctly and clearly. That's my two cents. The app is great other than the not-so-good writing. But that's a major drawback.

And just enough info so I can actually read it even with my busy schedule.

A friend recommended this app & swore by it. I was hesitate after reading reviews and knowing it cost. I though for only $2 I'd give it a try. I took a risk and I'm so glad I did. It was spot on for my sons first leap this week. For example, I noticed my sons head last ones different, I wondered if it was bigger but wasn't sure. The app explained how his head would look bigger this week and why! The app also includes videos to pair with the info. For example, when explaining eye sight changes- there is a video showing how babies perception. It's only day 1 with this app and I'm super stoked!
  • Extremely little information

Get the book if you want to learn something. The app is a calendar with the weeks they think development will happen. It there was a 39 day money back guarantee I would take it.

This app used to be good, but it had been crashing everytime I have tried to open it the last 3 months...
  • What a joke

This app is really a joke and I'm so disappointed that I wasted money on it. It is extremely vague and general, and I was an idiot to fall for it. It's like reading a horoscope-- so vague that it could possibly apply to you, but has absolutely no real merit. This app is supposed to pinpoint "leaps" and tell you exactly what's happening in your child's development and exactly when, to the day, based on your child's due date. But instead you'll be told your kid *might* be acting unusual this week, or next week, or the next few weeks (or whenever?) because s/he *might* be growing and developing (duh), and s/he might be learning to do new things because of that one new thing s/he learned to do last leap that was still never really specified. I'm not kidding. It doesn't tell you anything you don't already know. We all know babies grow and develop mentally as they age, we all know they do it on somewhat of a timeline. This app does not specify anything.
  • Amazing!

This app has helped me so much. It's right on point with everything and very good with information. I literally understand my baby with all that she is going through!
  • Hard to go through

I don't like this app very much. It's hard to understand & it doesn't let you edit your info. In the beginning it just says name. Well I assume it wanted my name, so I put in my name. Most apps want parents info first. Not in this case. It wanted my daughters name. I can't go in & edit that part. I paid for this app. I usually don't pay for apps. But in this case I thought I'd try it. Yeah, no. I am deleting it. Needs to be more user friendly. Videos don't want to play half the time & I'm on a very good wifi at home!
  • Always crush or can't load

I've had this app for a few years but lately has been very buggy. I paid for the additional content. The app would not load or just crash. It has good information though.
