  • They don't care at all

    By scottaw66
This app doesn't support the screen resolution on my iPhone 6s Plus, a screen size that's been around for three years. In addition, tapping the in-app annual subscription link brings up an error message stating: “Could not find product for this issue. Please try again later.” If they don't want my money, why not just say so?
  • Please restore offline viewing

Good app, easy to read. But latest updates does away with offline viewing. It's unreasonable to expect a mag reader to be always connected. Ever heard of airplane mode?
  • Works well. Could be better.

This reader needs A LOT of work. Load times are painfully slow. Resolution is really low (which makes the slow load times all that much more confusing). App is full of bugs. For example. Pull up the table of contents for a particular issue (which can take a lifetime), select a specific page, and you're served up a black screen, so the only way to jump to that article is to swipe page-by-page through the entire magazine. Worse, even after you download an issue, it's extremely slow to load up whenever you go back to it. And the app has a nasty habit of automatically zooming back out on you after you've zoomed in to read some text as soon as you touch the page to try and scroll down. Finally, the resolution is just downright terrible. Even the text is ultra low res. This great magazine deserves better. It's pretty clear this wasn't ready for prime time yet. With all of the excellent magazine apps out there, it seems like these guys tried to reinvent the wheel without knowing what they were doing. Probably should have relied on Pixelmags or Zinio until they could get their own bugs ironed out.
  • New product needs work

    By BenSisko
I was very happy to see this magazine finally get an electronic version. Happy to pay for a subscription. However there are rendering issues in many areas. In particular going to the preview or contents pages displays data for a second and then goes blank. Most of the articles and pictures look great, so I can live with it as a new product. Hopefully these issues will be worked out soon. I hope to be referring to Racer throughout the 2013 season and beyond.
  • Good First Attempt

Navigation is sketchy and user action feedback none existent. My download times are reasonable on the New iPad with a Uverse broadband connection. Likewise the resolution is amazingly deep. HD quality for sure. However, the app behaves unpredictably each time I use it. Strangely the app icon itself has disappeared. I can only access it through the App Store download environment. Since it's no longer visible, I can't delete and reload it. Restore doesn't have any effect either. Yes, a little glitchy, but the content is so strong I'll muddle through! Certain the app will improve with follow on releases.
