  • Nice to keep up

It's a really great app in order to keep up with the foreign language you are trying to gain knowledge in. But the ads just killed it I don’t like ads.
  • Taking languages off on iPhone

    By Capt. Jyn23
I wish you take a language off the board on the iPhone without having to go to the website to take a language off, that you may have added by accident. :( I enjoy Duolingo very much!!
  • Good Product

9/25/17 edit is at the bottom. I don't have any products to compare it to, but this came recommended to me and I have no interest in looking elsewhere as this is pretty cool, especially considering it is free! I can speak a little Spanish, but I'm not fluent. I'm using this to improve. I like how you progress in increments, building from basics to complex. The only flaw is the audio recordings (which is not a huge part of the program). One time I said something I'm fairly certain was pronounced accurately, but it said it was wrong. Another time, I stumbled half way through and instead of finishing the sentence just said "blah, blah, blah" and it accepted it as accurate. Flawless transition between my computer and phone too, just picking up where I left off on the other. Edit: I realized that the mobile version lacks the occasional "Tips and notes" that the web version has which are very useful. Would be nice to have this included in the app and seems it'd be simple to incorporate
  • Wrecked by latest update

I've been using Duolingo for years and have loved it for a long time. The newest version of the app, with its new "health" system, has totally ruined it. Basically, get too many wrong answers and it locks you out until you pay money or wait a ridiculously long amount of time. This system makes the app totally useless for learning a new language. Stick with the website version or use a different app. Until they revert to the old system, the duolingo mobile app is a complete waste of time.
  • Finnish for English speakers please!!

    By ArrowBlitz
I have a friend who lives in Finland and I’d love to be able to surprise her with my knowledge of her language.
  • Best language app

    By kanehoomantha
Of course this is the best one. It feels like playing a game but I can speak in simple sentences in Japanese after only three weeks. I like that you can test out of sections you know so it isn't redundant like drops. I've used Rosetta Stone and still believe duolingo is the best. I set a goal of 15 minutes a day and they fly by bc I'm having so much fun.
  • Great!!

I absolutely love the app!! I would love if you guys added American Sign Language as well!! I have been learning asl for quite some time now and I’m not fluent yet but I would love to be!!
  • Love it! Sound please!

    By Brichèt
Love everything about this app! I’m taking Korean and when I first used it there was sound when pairing he alphabet but now the sound is gone. Please bring back the sound when pairing. Hearing the sound constantly is a must especially when not staying where the language is available to hear constantly.
  • It really helps..

It really helps and honestly is better than Rosetta Stone. I am going to China in a couple years and would love to learn to speak Chinese decently. It would be great if you added it.
  • Please add Arabic!

    By Lenna :)
I love your app for learning German! But I’ve always wanted to learn Arabic because of my heritage, and I can’t find an app that is as good as Duolingo to learn languages. I have always thought it just taught Latin languages, but once Korean was added I have hope that maybe you’ll add more non Latin languages. I would absolutely LOVE if you offered Arabic to learn. Thanks!
