THE STORY BEHIND LUMOSITY We’re a team of scientists and designers exploring new ways to challenge the brain and push cognitive research forward. Our scientists take common cognitive and neuropsychological tasks, or design entirely new, experimental challenges. Working with experienced designers, they transform these tasks into fun games that challenge core cognitive skills. We also work with 40+ university researchers worldwide. We give qualified researchers free access to Lumosity training and tools — helping them investigate new areas in cognition. As we learn more about the possibilities of brain training, we invite you to train with us, and join us in our mission to advance the understanding of human cognition. The app is available in English, German, Japanese, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. To access the app in one of our languages, change your device setting to the desired language. The games are interesting for the most part. It is fun; don't get me wrong, but there is a lot of room for improvement without having to add more games. Of course there are some I just can't get into but that's going to be the case for any set of mini games. I wish though that for the daily training it would give you a grade or something. Similar to how WiiFit gave you an age for each day. Just so you can see how you did compared to the day before with the 5 random ones. Not just score to score within the game overall. Edit; Also that the Word Bubbles would have more starting letter combos. I get the same ones a lot. The insight for that one also needs to give suggestions for words when it tells you to use a different author as inspiration. Edit 2: Seriously pisses me off that she you choose "Favorites" for your daily training it says the ones you play the most. THEN it gives you the ones you NEVER play unless it makes you. Why is there the option to heart them if not to make them your favorite?

For the brain. I enjoy the games but lately because I use the free version I seem to get the same games to play over and over, sometimes two days in a row the same three games. And of course the constant emails and prompts to upgrade to the paid version get tiresome also.
  • Love it

I play the games daily and love most of them: however, the organic seed one is not clear how to answer - maybe it's just me.
  • It's great!

Play everyday. Love it and all the updates and score tracking. I have a traumatic brain injury and Lumosity is a great, functional tool for me.
