    Noom on my phone reminds me to log the doos I’ve eaten and weigh myself regularly. The coach and group is probably good for folks but I am not a group person. Noom app serves its purpose. I am losing weight little by little.

    The app has been useful in helping me lose weight. Like the daily checklist. Wish you could log multiple meals without having to leave the food log and come back in between each save. Wish there was a place to log your water.
  • It works—plain and simple.

    I tried many fitness apps to try to log my meals and make better food choices, but I ended up deleting in frustration when the food database proved too scanty or difficult to use. Noom nails this handily. Take the best of French Women Don’t Get Fat, marry it to an incredibly robust food database (which also allows you to create custom meals from ingredients and get a correct calorie count), and you have a way to get on top of what you’re eating and become more mindful in your choices. I’ve lost 5.4kg in six weeks, and the coaching feature (with a real, live human being) is excellent, helping nudge you in a better direction if you need more guidance or just cheer you on when you’re hitting all your goals. Chatting with fellow group members is also nice and helps with motivation as you share victories. There’s no fad diet; no gimmicky supplements; no expensive meal plans—just clean eating, cutting processed foods, exercising regularly, and being accountable. The accountability is key and what puts Noom a whole level above other weight loss apps.
  • Cancellation HARD!!

    If you decide to give this a try be sure you know when your trial ends. They do not give refunds nor do they respond. I tried to follow the cancellation procedure but methods given were not working or in the case of the concierge was not available. The charge was $139.00 so be prepared.
  • Curriculum not finished

    The first few weeks of the app were awesome- I loved the quizzes and the way they reviewed content from previous days to reinforce, and gave you the psychology behind losing weight in a really fun interactive way. But for some reason, after a few weeks, the quality of the content dropped off dramatically, and is super basic, not fun, and boring. It seems like they started revamping the content, but they’ve only finished the first few weeks, and by then you’re past the free preview and can’t back out without losing your money.

    Do NOT buy into this unless you plan on wasting money. I started out on great footing, then asked to not be renewed after the 16 weeks, though I wanted to finish off what I paid for. They deleted my account immediately and I lost 10 weeks worth of what I paid for. There is NO ONE to contact to fix this issue. NONE!

    I really did love this app until I had contact with my “coach”. Her answers were clearly scripted and it was disheartening as I had a paid subscription. I loved the green, yellow, red classification of foods. It was enlightening to see what I put in my body and know that I can improve that and see results. If I could suggest anything it would be to have a more educated coaching system that emphasizes on the people that clearly need help and not just the standard cookie cutter answers that have been heard repeatedly in the past.

    So basically I’m paying $17 a month maybe more to have someone post a message everyday? In my trial I have talked to my goal specialist twice and my group leader/motivator only posts in the morning and is MIA for the rest of the day. Other than the little daily “lessons” how is this supposed to help me lose the weight? No meal plans included in the price, no exercise plans included....just some person posting once a day? Seems like a rip off.

    I hate this app I hate this app I hate this app. One of those companies that loves to take your money off of dumb subscriptions smh... I hate people that are more stoked to take your money than help you reach your goals forget this garbage
