  • Very good app

Really terrific supplement to Duolingo. This one is more street saavy and has the feature of different native speakers pronouncing, their way. Switches between fill in, multiple choice and listening - all in one mini-lesson. Which really instills the language in your head!! 💯
  • Good for learning at school to

I just love it so much I love Japanese home so
  • Pretty great for beginners

In my opinion, this is great for beginners (at least in Japanese) coming from someone who has taken a language class, it categorizes the alphabets and particles while learning a few phrases along the way. I’ve recently wanted to learn Japanese but my high school schedule doesn’t allow for me to take a language class yet, and I’m very eager to start since my dad has been talking about visiting Sasebou. I was exposed to the culture and animated movies at a young age and always had an appreciation for Japan. But lately whenever I use the app to learn new words the ad for a premium membership comes up. I’ll say no thanks and try to press the learn new words button and the same message pops back up. This has struck me dead in my tracks as I was trying at least once a day to practice and made good distance in the hiragana alphabet. I’ve tried other apps and they’re not what I need right now. Many people think it’s a glitch since even I can still go past the launch pads on my school account/laptop. This app is great besides that setback, please try to fix it please
  • Highly recommend

This is my favorite language app. I downloaded half a dozen different apps to help me learn Mandarin when I moved to China, but with memrise I was speaking basic Chinese with people within a month! After half a year I can get by in conversations and actually read a bit. Highly recommend getting a pro subscription, I downloaded all the chinese courses to practice offline and now I’m learning French as well. *one suggestion to improve memrise Mandarin would be, if there could be a way to select only certain chapters for review so I could review only characters at times, because many people need the most review with these.
  • Best App in the App Store

    By Mr. B.J.S.
I’ve taken years of classes at multiple schools and universities, worked with people who speak other languages, visited other countries, and have had friends help me try to learn languages... this is an amazing app that makes it really easy to learn as much as you want. Just about blows everything out of the water minus an extended stay in the country of the language you’re trying to learn.
  • They really want your money

It was a great app until it for locked down. They kept wanting me to purchase a subscription. I would not mind ads stop pestering for a subscription.
  • I think this is cheating

I use this app for learning Italian and helping in my Chinese class and it is really good. I don’t feel like it’s work and it is so easy to understand, I recommend it.
  • You don’t need the premium!

    By Happy Camper 68888888880
This is one of best language learning apps I’ve used so far because it guides you through learning and practice while keeping track of words that you find difficult. The interface is cute. The premium features are definitely nice but they are not required(!!) I thought I had to pay to continue using the app but that is not the case. Enjoy!

  • Very good but not perfect

    By Gymnast9997
It’s a very easy way to learn for me as I have a very odd way of learning I don’t really fit anywhere in the main ways of teaching but as this app lets you go back over every word and phrase a different way some in just sit down and learn and some in the “learning with locals” it works very well I’m currently learning Japanese to move there one day and I’ve had no trouble learning with it although there are things that could be fixed or added such as the ability to choose certain words or phrases that YOU think you have trouble with not just what it tells you have trouble with but overall it does work very well if you have tried other means and they just don’t seem to work
