Babbel – Learn Languages App Description

Learn Spanish, French, Italian, German, and many more languages with Babbel. Developed by a team of language learning experts, Babbel has helped millions of people speak a new language with confidence. THE BABBEL METHOD Here’s what makes Babbel more effective than any other language learning app: 1. Confidence — Our goal is to get you speaking from your very first lesson. And our elegantly designed courses give you the confidence to get there. We teach you how to engage in practical, everyday conversations, making it easier for you to have authentic experiences in your new language. 2. Comprehension — Our lessons immerse you in relevant culture and real-life conversations. We want you to really take in the language, not just memorize useless phrases. And we provide helpful hints in English (or your native language) to make your new language more relatable. 3. Retention — We know you’re busy. That’s why our lessons are short but sweet: about 10-15 minutes, and designed to send your new language straight to long-term memory. We regularly refresh your memory with our dynamic review sessions, which target areas where you need improvement most. Finally, we make sure you really grasp what you’re learning by bringing it back later in a new context. App Reviews

  • Crashing App

    By frustrated_learner
This is a fantastic learning app no doubt. I was making great strides with my Spanish until one day I could not get past a certain section. The app would simply crash. Their customer care said they are fixing the issue. But it’s been months now. I finally decided to cancel.

After spending more than 24 frustrating hours waiting for a customer service response, my app is now working. Thanks for the help. Looking forward to learning Italian!
  • Not as good as Rosetta Stone

    By Ernie GG
Lessons were easy, almost too easy. Didn’t learn anything. Still can’t figure out how to cancel the service. It automatically renews and they give you the runaround on cancelation process.
  • Not free

    By Hotrod12345678910
Great app but it’s not free once you start to use it.
  • If you want to pay it would be good.

    By I love Chrome but...
You get barely any lessons if you don’t pay. I thought this would be awesome and it was but I don't want to pay I forgot how much to get the rest.
  • Spelling and keyboard are ridiculous

    By crabnebula
Please allow miss spelled words / make a better keyboard size,..... buttons are too small Also I’m pretty much sick of the spelling emphasis The introduction and use of words through spelling alone? Doesn’t work for me at all I’d say give me options Let me pick so I can retain the word As it is now? I’m lost in the words and can’t remember anything due to getting “a letter” off therefore incorrectly answering every question incorrectly Couple that with the poor typing ability and no sliding cursor ( iOS space bar allows fast correction ) Please fix ASAP I can’t stand getting every question working due to ONE letter being off Otherwise good so far
  • Seriously?

You get one free lesson, then have to pay for a “premium” mode. Uggghh. Just get duolingo.
