  • Great app and tour

Engaging and active way to learn about fascinating architecture and history on tour we did in San Fran
  • Fabulous app

My wife and I have used this in multiple cities to find all sorts of amazing, off-the-track locations and sights. The navigation is very smooth, and the scripts are very well-written. I highly recommend this app.
  • Amazing way to explore new places

While in Paris I was looking for ideas for places to visit that would bring me away from the standard spots. I took a bread tour and was absolutely blown away. The gps, instructions and story were all amazing. I highly recommend the app. Detours done well are really immersive.

This is AWESOME! Guided narrated tours with interesting narrators and fun surprises!!! I’ve done two tours, one in my own town (LA) and one in a city I was visiting! I cannot wait to try the next one!!!
  • Repeating ad in App Store

    By RogueDarko
This app is no where near having all the locations it should (still doesn’t have mine - Seattle...which is not a small town) and yet I’ve seen it repeated on the App Store New Daily advertisements. The new App Store format should not show repeats! There are only a few highlighted apps each day. Don’t use a space for a crap app that you have already shown just a few weeks ago. Downloaded the app to write this review. Now deleting useless app. 🤬
  • Not clear, expensive??

    By Dude0u812
Downloaded and looked at the app. It says there are “in app purchases” but unclear what the boundaries are. Listened to a “preview” which appeared somewhat promising, a local woman talking about a park. It showed $7.99 for a 40 minute recording. So... 20 cents a minute taking a chance this is an interesting talk? Again, looks like a cute app with promise. But other than the tech people making 6-figures and insulating themselves from the world in Ubers and heavy private busses, I don’t understand who has that kind of money to spend on what’s basically a short podcast episode tied to a GPS. Maybe at one or two bucks an episode, with the first one free to sample, they can get some traction with this. But expecting Joe iPhone to keep throwing $8 bucks at monologues by some unknown (and some knowns) that lasts just over half an hour seems unsustainable as a business model.
  • Love it!

I’ve done the SF painted ladies tour and one in Barcelona on vermouth. The production quality is top notch. I’ve learned tons both times. Syncing with my boyfriend works great too.
  • Need more cities!

    By travelintracy
I travel in Latin America. There’s a lot of history, interesting architecture & current events that could - & SHOULD - be covered! I have service/signal unless in the jungle areas. I’d really like to have these guided tours in Mexico, Belize, Costa Rica, Panama, and on into South America! Since most of my travel is not covered, it’s difficult for me to give this app more stairs until it is more inclusive. The tours for the US cities are good. How about Kansas City (jazz, the 18th & Vine area, etc), Manitou Springs/Colorado Springs, Salt Lake City???? There are plenty of US cities with many interesting stories, history, architecture and such. If Latin American & more IS cities are added & well done, I’d be happy to change my rating. Great start. Now let’s see what is added for those of us not as interested in European (a large portion - though lacking (Edinburgh, Dublin, Wales, Canterbury, etc) - of the app) travel.

I have thoroughly enjoyed every Detour Adventure I’ve experienced. What a Treasure! I will definitely make a point of tuning into Detour whenever I’m in a city served by the app.
