Hours Time Tracking App Description

Hours is the time tracker you will actually use. "The Perfect iPhone Time Tracking App" - Forbes "Surprisingly pleasant to use…well-thought-out interface" - TechCrunch “The world’s easiest way of tracking your time.” - 9to5Mac Best New Apps - Apple With a visual timeline, smart reminders, detailed reporting, and an interface crafted by and Apple Design Award winning team, Hours turns a tedious process into — dare we say — an enjoyable one. Time tracking seems like it should be easy…and it would be, if we were all robots. Unfortunately, humans tend to have problems with 1. Forgetting to track your time in the first place 2. Forgetting to note when you change tasks 3. Forgetting to stop a timer after you start one So Hours lets you: • Set smart reminders to nag you at just the right times to start and stop your timers • Start/stop/switch timers with one tap (now even from the home screen with 3D Touch) • Use the visual timeline to easily identify and correct mistakes • Set rounding rules to round time to whatever interval you are used to — 6 minutes, 15 minutes, and more • Quickly see on a calendar view which days you tracked time and which days you forgot • Track your time by clients, projects, and tasks if you need to • Add notes to your time entries • View on-screen reports in the app, or email detailed CSV or PDF reports • Sync your time with Hours on the web, where you can track time from your desktop and view beautiful reports • Now your whole team can use Hours to track, report, and analyze time Please email us if you have any questions or suggestions to improve the app: support@hourstimetracking.com -- The Hours Pro subscription, which provides additional reporting options, costs $7.99 per month. The subscription will be charged to your credit card through your iTunes account and will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Though your subscription for the current month cannot be canceled, you can turn auto-renewal off in your account settings after purchase. Had to start tracking the hours we spend on various projects at work. This app is easy to use. Easy to correct mistakes( or code to that awesome: I forgot to record my hours group...) which rarely happens anymore since the app reminds me to record my hours and stop them when I forget. This is the best all around app I’ve seen for tracking hours. Minimal effort and intuitive design. Great reporting. Thank you for designing such a great app you’ve made a painful chore doable.

Set up a few timers and go! It fits into my workflow and daily routine very well. I am considering getting the subscription for the “pro” version.

I love this app so much that I use it everyday. But I sometimes forgot to start a timer I had to enter them manually afterwards. It would be much better to enter the exact time directly instead of adjusting the rounding and scrolling to the numbers I want. Hopefully this is a suggestion that developers might want to consider.
  • Simple to use

I need more flexibility to quick note jobs while on site. Hours is proving cumbersome.
  • Great App, Needs More Customization

I’m appreciating what Hours has to offer, I just have a few issues with it. 1. Can’t change the names of projects (they probably have a good reason for this, but it’s annoying) 2. Can’t have name collisions between projects - I want to use the same project name with multiple clients 3. Time Chunk Merging - two identical chunks should merge (or at least be able to)

Update Mar 2018 All bugs that bothered me were fixed. 5 Stars Update Sep 2017 It’s been 7 months since my previous update. The bug reported in my previous update was not fixed. You can not create a project using the web app dashboard. The browser freezes. Nothing new as well. Sometimes I give apps 5 stars just to encourage the developers - what I did before for Hours. Now is the true rank Update April 2017 The more I use it the more I like the timeline idea. It's very natural. Web view freezes when I go to Dashboard and click plus icon to create a new project. Happened at work and at home in Chrome. Have to close my browser or kill the tab. --- The price, probably, could be acceptable for businesses/teams. But for personal use, $80/y is a lot. Two pricing models would be good. What if I need to sync my data or web access but NOT team/ business features?
  • Don’t use the watch app.

The app is fine, but too pushy about upgrading to pro. I started a timer on my watch the second day I had the app, then the watch app kept crashing every time I tried to open it for the rest of the month. It didn’t show that the timer was still running on my phone, and I tracked multiple other things for weeks. Watch app finally opened today, and that timer was still running. When I stopped it, it wrote over all my tracked stuff with a single block that was weeks long. Really cool.

Your app is outstanding. I use it to track my daily schedule and figure out what is going on. In this case, I will be able to have better vision about myself and how to allocate my time and energy much more efficient than I do now. I have some idea for your app and in next line I have mentioned a few of them. • Set "week" as basic time period. • Add "predict hours" for each task to set as goals. At the end of the week make an option to have a comparison between predicted hours and how much time user have allocated. This is for now, I will share more whenever I have any kind of idea. Thanks again for your amazing app🙌🏻
